Riboflavin is not toxic when taken orally, as the gut finds it difficult to absorb and so rarely absorbs too much of it. Instead any excess is passed in the urine. If there is a really large quantity of riboflavin the urine turns a bright yellow colour.
It is possible to take too much riboflavin in injection form.
